Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services). In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

7. Data Retention, Deletion & Your Right to Erasure
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and to fulfil the purposes set out in this policy. The following retention periods apply:
Account & profile data (name, email, contact details): For the duration of your active account, plus up to 12 months after account closure or last active session.
Transaction & payment records: Up to 7 years, as required by UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.
Class booking & attendance history: Up to 12 months after your last booking or account closure.
Marketing preferences: Until you withdraw consent or request deletion.
App usage & technical data (device ID, IP address, cookies): Up to 12 months from collection.
CCTV footage: Up to 14 days unless required for an active investigation.
How to request deletion of your data
You have the right to request that we delete the personal data we hold about you. You can submit a deletion request in any of the following ways:
Email request: Send an email to DIFC@1rebel.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include your full name and the email address associated with your account.
In person: Visit 1Rebel UAE studio and speak to a member of staff, who will submit the request on your behalf.
What happens after you request deletion
1. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
2. We will verify your identity to protect your data from unauthorised deletion requests.
3. Your account and personal data will be deleted within 30 days of verification, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (for example, financial records under UAE tax law).
4. We will confirm in writing once your data has been deleted. Where any data must be retained for legal reasons, we will inform you of what is retained and why.
Please note: deleting your account will result in the permanent loss of your booking history, any unused class credits, and membership benefits. This action cannot be undone.
